Default ABS light

My abs light comes on sometimes, randomnly. I thought it was the brake fluid being low so i checked, it was empty, so i filled it. Now the light still comes on. You can hear like a relay click, my 1st prelude did the same thing.....what could it be?

Well, there are about 4-5 different relays for the ABS system...just FYI.

You might also try resetting the computers by disconnecting your battery for about 30 seconds.

when this happens does your radio shut off for a second and then immediately turn back on? i have this problem. i also have where i'll the brake lamp light will kick on even though my brake lights are fine. this problem usually occurs when brake hard or take a hard corner.

i know i have a battery terminal loose which could cause that. maybe yours is too? i also believe since it's winter time that maybe i'm getting a short in one of the relays. (like crazy hawkze said)

My lude did that too.

Brake lamp would go on, even though my brake lights were 100% tho.

My abs was shot though, was kinda gay... but if u know how to break right... abs doesnt do much. regardless, if it just goes on and off.... is the abs still kicking in or will they lock when it goes on... and then go back to normal? If the lights just going on, could just be some electical bug and I wouldnt let it bug u too much. As long as it isnt staying on from startup, and ur wheels arent locking

my abs light has been on constantly for @ two years now. the only time it goes off is when it is around 50 degrees outside, then it'll be off for about 30 seconds before the relay clicks and the light comes on. you should be fine as long as you remember to pump the brakes and not hold when braking
