Default DC Race Header / DC Race Catback ordered :)

Just ordered a full dc race header back exhaust. The header is supposed to be released in the next few weeks, and the catback is available. Now I am pumped!!! I love parts.... going to be ordering the intake in the next few days here... AEM is supposed to be releasing other colors except polished.

nice but i am waiting for HKS and Apexi to release an exhaust system and if they don't I will amke my own with the HKS Carbon Ti muffler and 2.5" piping and have it all tig welded. I just think it is a waste for to but the header and catback when I just want the cat back but you nned the header for it to work. They are basically forcing you to buy the header to make it work. AEM has the intake in polished and red and blue and silver check my other post some guy already has the intake and has pics posted I ordered the intake a few nights ago. But nice can't wait to hear some sound clips

I am looking for the most power....and to obtain that, I need the race header IMO. I don't mind buying the race header and the catback. It is a pretty penny, but I know it will be tuned and dyno proven to offer the most for my dollar. The problem with just welding a muffler to your own 'catback' is you are getting mild steel crush bent pipe. Your exhaust will only be as free flowing as the smalled diameter piping... Being it is crush bent (vs mandrel) you will have 2.5" on the straight parts, but down to 2" or 2.25" on the bends, which defeats the purpose. And mild steel vs. Stainless steel is common sense..... It is your car, and don't let anyone tell you what to do or what not to do, but I personally want mandrel bent stainless piping that is tuned, and I am willing to spend the extra money for it.

header and catback are already out. The header looks to be a real nice piece of work, as do most of dc sports new products.

you are wrong.

Please call: Applications and Part Availability for DC Sports product
For specific questions such as applications, part availability or where to purchase DC Sport products, please call our sales line at (310) 484-2322.

That is taken from http://www.dcsports.com, at that number inquire about part # HHR5523, and you will then know from the horses mouth, that the race header is not out... Any place on ebay, showstoppers, etc.. offering the race header with availability RIGHT NOW is a scam and ripping you off. Hence why people should use their local shops to obtain information and not the internet or ebay.

please provide me with the names of the 'many' shops and numbers that you have checked with...

I'm not trying to get into an argument either, just trying to keep HT members honest.... They are not going to do a one off mandrel bent catback for you....both you and I know that

My god, what part of 'call DC SPORTS DIRECTLY' don't you understand? It is not a hard concept. There is no race header out and available for the 2006 SI... Call Bobby Evans at NOPI (Ext 209). Call Justin at Arrowspeed (Ext 8213). Call Tim at Checkpoint (ext 1481)... These are major distributors, and NOPI just happens to be AEM/DC's number 1 distributor... But I am sure you aren't lying and your warehouse has it in stock... This site is completely full of people wanting to 'be the first in the know' and full of 'know it alls'.... I had this same argument last week with someone that said the DC Catback was out... So I did a bunch of searching and found out, nope it wasn't the race catback, it was the axle back.

Tell you what, to end this bs...
NAME YOUR DISTRIBUTOR

NAME A PERSON AND AN EXTENSION FROM WHERE I CAN ORDER A RACE HEADER ON MONDAY.

IF IT IS IN STOCK, I WILL CALL MONDAY ORDER IT, THEN CALL DC SPORTS (uh yeah the company that MAKES the product and says it is still about 2 weeks out on the release) AND CANCEL MY ORDER WITH THEM.

I am a man, and if I call monday morning and they have the correct part number instock and available, I will come on here and strongly apologize, but if you are full of it, I will come on here and make sure that is known! Deal?

Put all that aside....the fact that any of the shops in your area have a mandrel bender.... Back to the point of my comments to you, you said you didn't want a DC catback.... Why wouldn't you want a catback that someone has already tested, found what bends/corrections/etc.. needed to be made to get the most flow out of the exhaust? EVEN if you are willing to pay the big $$$, you are still going to have a homemade kit that will not perform nor look as nice as one mass produced by DC, and not carry any warranty... That's my point.

good point, granted I agree with you there about it being dyno tested and a one off not being I was just saying if apexi or HKS don't come out with one I like I will either make a one off or go with another JDM Company

YGPM, and i don't know what else you want. I can tell you I have physicaly touched the part. What part of " I have physicaly touched the part" do you want me to explain in further detail to you. I have 20+ of the race headers in front of me everday. You want me to take a picture for you? Why do people have to be so hardheaded.

Hardheaded?!? Hardly.... What part of 'I work at an import shop and have an inside rep that works at DC Sports/AEM, and they said it wasn't out yet" don't YOU get. In a previous post I gave you the number to call, just say you are from some made up company (or they won't talk to you), and ask this simple question "Is the RACE header for the 06 SI available yet? Here is the part number XXXXXXX" You will then understand what I am talking about. Could the people at AEM/DC be absolute and complete idiots? Yes, but at this point would I trust what they say over a individual on a forum, (a forum that is notorious for people begging to argue about anything) doubtful. As my pm to you asked, please give me phone numbers to either A) a shop with a race header instock B)your company your work for. PM'ing me with a bunch of shop names does nothing.

And like you said, I would not trust a individual on the internet, especially when you apparently have no clue what the expletive you are talking about.

And if you really wanted teh header, a list of shops would help, because they are shops you can get the header from.

That comment doesn't make sense

Per your private message, I will call horsepowerfreaks tomorrow morning. If they do have them in stock, as I said I will be on here apologizing.... Please do take pictures of the header, box, and part number. Also if they do have them in stock, I will be setting up a wholesale account, and calling AEM/DC, Nopi, Arrowspeed, and Checkpoint to see why the hell an internet company gets it before any of them.

I look forward to tomorrow either way.... If I am wrong that is still good for me cause I will have a header only a few days away, and if I am right, well then I will know who I can't trust...

I don't plan to get on here and flame you if you are wrong, as I see where HT arguments go. Nowhere. I would rather spend my time on this site learning and obtaining useful info then **** fighting.

You need to grow up. Every single one of your new SI threads has had your shitty attitude and everyone is tired of it. You make sure to post every single mod done to your car on this public forum but you can not take anyone elses opinion or facts that go against what you say. You reply to people like your a 6 year old that had his Thomas train taken away.

ok just so you don't get your pantie sin a bunch I was trying to say I think it makes no sense to pay 800 dollars for a header and catback, I mean I don't wan tto spend 800 and only be allowed to use one type of catback and I believe alot of people fell my drift, we are putting you down or being jealous and so what if projectpsi has them in stock you didn't buy from him so don't worry about it. I think you contribution to this site is cool, but we all need to aside our differences and not be down on each other. It could be narrowed down to a poll like atmosphere of you like it or you don't. Stop knocking on xlur8ed, he has his right to say what he wants just like everyone on this site does but knock someone because you want to start a argument it just isn't right. Xlur8ed if I offended you in any way I am sorry I was just saying I didn't think it worth paying that amount and I had considered making a one off piece.
