Default Switch to Manual Tranny?

Yeah I have a 1990 honda accord ex 4 door Automatic, and i want to change the transmission from automatic to manual.
I want to pull a transmission from a junk yard and put it in

anybody think thats a good idea or what?

your chances of finding a decent tranny in the junk yard is 50/50. also depends on which tranny you going for. the hardest to find are the h22,h23,f23,f22 in that order. well i am not sure about the f series for i am only interested in the h series now. but most trannies are already pulled from the cars. you gotta get to them as soon as they arrive. i went to one recently and out of like 20 cb7's, i only seen one with the engine & tranny still in. it was a new arrival since i had been there last time. search around your town. you may have to check weekly or periodically on junkyards to get what you want. that i one reason why this swap can take longer than anticapated.
