im wanting to swap out the factory viper red LED to a blue one from radio shack.. but i noticed that the viper has a red and black wire, power and ground...

over at radio shack, they have a BLUE LED, one thats like 300mcd (or whatever the brightness term is) and another one that was 2,300mcd.. the 2,300mcd had a less volt and amp requirement than the 300mcd.

my question is, what are the spec's do the factory viper LED so i can get one thats at least better than that so it doesnt blow out the LED..

You could buy a genuine Viper blue LED from me and not worry about it not working...

I've swapped them and they work fine. Actually I kept on the old LED for a new alarm. It didn't work at first, so I swapped the wires and it worked.

 

whats the info on the led that you used?

im sure all alarms have the same power and volts or whatever.. right?
