Jack Stands???
Ok. I know this might sound like a silly questions, but where do I put my jack stands for my 95 civic? The 2 jacking points on either side of the car have what looks like an I-Beam that is used by the cars scissor jack. It frightens me to set the weight of the car onto a flat top jack stand on that I-Beam looking piece of the frame. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Help..... ?
There are 4 jack points on the car, just behind where the sideskirts attach to the inside of all 4 wheels.
You can jack from the front and rear towhooks, but I wouldn't use those for jackstands.

JDM_Ej. Your correct. I don't want to use any of the four jacking points for the jack stands, which goes back to my original question.... any ideas on where I can put my jack stands?

No... you mis-understand me. The 4 jack points on both sides of the car are LIFT POINTS. It is perfectly fine to use jack stands there.

There should be 6 jack points. The 4 "i-beams" (looks like a folded piece of metal, about 2-3 inches long) one by each wheel, the radiator support, and the rear tow hook. If you're looking to jack the front of the car up use the radiator support. Flat top jackstands should be ok as long as you're using one on each side, the weight will be evenly distributed. Those jack points are welded directly to the frame of the car and are made to support the weight of the car. Although, i prefer to use the jackstands that have somewhat of a Y shape at the top. Hope that covered everything.
Silly questions are for the silly people that never ask them.

My car has been on jack stands for about 3 weeks now on those jack point/stand places. And I always used them in the past. No problems here, its safe, just make sure the ground is solid.

i've used the pointes for many years, never had any problems i usually jack the car up in the front under rad. support and then put jack stands un the 2 front jacking points right behind the front tires...
