any1 ever run a USDM GSR ecu into a JDM GSR motor?

You will likely throw up CEL codes for VTEC pressure switch and other emissions codes unless you use a usdm vtec solenoid and just swap in the shortblock.

No, it wont....USDM ecu expects to read sensors that the JDM motor does not have. Not to mention, the mapping is not exactly the same.

wrong, USDM uce will run just fine with the JDM motor. no cel, just normal

USDM ecu runs like **** on jdm motors tho. why do you think a lot of people want JDM ecu's? they run hardcore
If its a OBD2 car with a obd2 ecu then it will throw a CEL especially for a CKF (crank sensor what ever you want to call it) sensor (misfire code sometimes). JDM motors dont use em, and USDM do. Its that sensor by the crank area on the obd2 teggies.
