I am in the process of doing a b20 swap in my del sol. I currently have a B16aSiRII and am planning on putting that head on a B20 block. I was wondering how b20 blocks handel boost. Will handle a small shot of nitrous? I am still deciding what to do with it. I was planning on building it with good pistons cams and all that plus a 50 shot. Any suggestions?????

 

You weren't planning on swapping heads AND boosting were you?

 

look for a post in all motor thread somewhere they explain what sucks on Ls's and B20's when you put a vtec head.

b20 has an added weakness
sleeves

look for people with b20 experience.

 

I was thinking about swaping the head,forged 11.5.1 pistons,better cams and valvetrain, ported intake manifold and 69mm throttlebody,complete exhaust,and intake. Maybe a 50 shot?

 

Would a 50 shot be ok? with all that? Also I heard b20 sleeves dont like reving past 7500
is that true?
