How do I clean the Competch Filter without its cleaner spray?
Well, the icebox and the filter's been on my car for half year now and I never clean it like I'm suppose to do every oil change. I think it can be pretty damn filthy right now. How can I clean it? What are the ingredients in the cleaner anyway? Can I imitate the formula and afterward soak the filter in warm water to remove the dirts?
Ray, the cleaner is $8. and the oil is $5. I hope it's not a cost issue?
I'm ordering some this week and I'll let ya know whats in it man. Better yet you can come up and we can taste test it if theirs no ingredients listed on the can.
If you think our filters look dirty, you should take a look at an AEM with the K&N= Fuggin FILTHY!!!
Later,
A.

Simple Green works...but the filter cleaner from UNI worked much better, I was amazed at how well it worked.
LOL, you can go ahead to taste its ingredient. Damn Anton, didn't know you have the tongue of an Iron Chef!
Nope, it's not the cost issue. In fact, I already order the 2 cleaner and 2 oil this Monday, but they later send me a mail said that oil are out of stock and I told them to ship once they have both the cleaner and oil ready. However, as you know, Rodney had plan an event this Sun., so I want to be prepare for it. A filthy filter will do me no good.
Thanks everyone, this time I'll use the Simple Green till the genuine stuff comes around next week.
