Oil leak above cat??
Hello Prelude guru's..
My friend is having trouble with his 97 prelude...
The other night he drove it with out any problems about 20 miles to and from his girlfriends house,
He got home parked it and still nothing.
When he woke up the next morning he started it let it run and when he was backing out there was a big puddle of oil under his car..
He jacked it up and checked but the car only leaks when it is on and he says he thinks its from a sensor above the cat but he still cannot locate the leak.
His dad thinks its the rear main oil seal...
I thought it could be from the oil cooler...
Any ideas of anyone else who might have had a similar problem?

I had the same thing on my 4th gen, it was the oil pressure sensor (oil sending unit). ~$30 from Honda; and it's really easy to replace it yourself.
Hopefully that's what it is.

+1 thats most likely the culprit. if the sensor is dry, then check where the oil cooler meets the block.

After a few hours and suggstions from many we had time to look at it... its the piece from the oil cooler into the motor.. like it was siad above i think thats the o-ring....
How can we fix this? is there any way we can do this without dropping the oil pan?

anyway add my vote to the oil cooler o-ring. esp after a cold night if that thing was gonna go then it would go after that
it happens to all of us..thats why i put a new one in mine while it was on the engine stand and easier to do
