eyebrows? or DIY
few things that i have heard against DIY is that the paint will either discolor, fade, bubble, or flake if not the right paint because of the heat. same is probably true if you use inferior vinyl.
i did it diy it came out alright. there is a write up about it but i did it differently. i used rivets and bondo instead of welding it. i never had a problem with cracking, discolor, flaking or bubbles the only this if that one stage paint fade quicker than multi stage. so i say do it your self had take it to get painted.

I didn't know people still did this. Seems very ricey to me. What is the point? To make your car appear angry? If Hondas had emotions, I bet that painting over the headlights probably would make them very angry.
Besides, this belongs in the appearance forum.

it was half ***. did you not read my post i used rivets and bondo. i posted to say that it lasted without the chipping or cracking. it took about 4 hours start to finish. i have since taken them off and repainted the car. but a month how often do you work on it? i helped a friend do this and it took like three days. 1 to shape the metal 1 take it to the welder and 1 for bondo and paint. it looks a lot better than mine the only part that took any time was shaping the metal
I dont work on it too often, its at my friends shop, and i do work every once in a while. I started with cardboard cut outs and went from there, but yeah metal shaping is the only part that takes a long while.
Pooby88 - its no more ricy then getting you car a fresh new layer of paint (OEM), its just to make the car look a little better (IMO) and give it a little more personality.
It's not like it makes it look fast, it just changes its look, like wheels and thousands of other upgrades.

Yeah, you seem like the type that likes to stick things in men's asses. That sort of behavior usually goes along with painting your headlights. Go ahead, my young, confused, homosexual friend. You will soon recognize the error of your ways.
Peace be with you, and don't forget the K/Y.

one hell of a first post. you seem like you will be a great addition to the already wonderfully helpful H-T community.
to the original poster, just go to a local sign shop, tell them what you are wanting to do, and they should be able to tell you what type of vinyl will hold up to the heat of the lights. they should also be able to tell you what colors might discolor with the heat. just use vinyl and you will always be able to easily remove it if you want to when your taste in exterior appearance might change....or when your car cheers up.

lol maybe when shes done with her "time of the month" the eyebrows will rise and she'll smile again, thanks for the help and everyone elses that decided not take part in making HT a shitty experience
I had eyebrows on my rex for about 2 days... mine were the vinyl kind that stick on with 3m tape. $60 bucks. not worth it... they held paint well but there was a visible gap between the hood and the eyebrow.... dont paint ur headlamps.. ull regret it... invest in some fiberglass brows that cover the whole light. (around $120 ... do a google search) --- thats my 2 cents.
