does the guage cluster have to be installed to get the car to start? how about the dash?

feels like im chasing some electrical gremlins but i have a sneaking suspicion i just have a harness unplugged somewhere.

 

you dont need the gauge cluster or the dash for the car to start. what happens when you turn the key? you might want to check the ignition harness under the steering column.

 

Nope. You don't need the guage cluster to start the car, or drive the car. I've driven the car for like 5 miles without the guage cluster, it wasn't fun. I'd never do it again, but it will run.

What kind of electrical problems are you having?
