civic ek dx coupe serious help
OK i have a 96 ek dx HB and at 40mph 70mph and 115mph i cut fuel...something like a rev limiter or w.e...well my boy just got a 96 ek dx coupe and his car for sum reason when it hits 30mph and 55mph etc... the car like dies it doesnt fuel cut it just dies like idunno if u guy have been in a car with a top speed limiter that just dies....what the hell is that about?...note car is bone stock..both d16y7 motors
i dunno he doesnt have an rpm gauge...but even my dx ek HP without the rpm cluster it would run hard untill 40 where fuel cut will occur...my friend's car dies at 30mph
Are you shifting into the next gear or just running the **** out of it until you hit the fuel cut off? I know the D16Y7 has long gears, but you still have to shift every few minutes.

man i dunno what to tell u..basically what ive been saying....my hb cuts fuel...like a rev limiter or sumthing at 7k and i know that because i have an si cluster...but even without it i would cut fuel around 40mph and 70mph and so forth...my friends ek coupe just dies ...it doesnt cut fuel it just like shuts down for a second i dunno how else to explain it
i thought the engine limits your revs by cutting off the spark, not fuel.. anyways, is the car only dying out when you drive it? just start up the car and rev it. see if the car dies out at redline
