I have a question on what to look for in a cam that would be used with nitrous....
Less lift/duration.... what???
I currently have a d18y8 with a "50shot", it is a wet setup. I am looking to swap in a b18c. I looked at going with the skunk2 stage2 cams, 11:1, and upgrading to a direct port shot of 100-150.

If the skunk2 stage 2's are a no go, what do guys recommend?
zex cams, toda a's, jun 1's, skunk2 stage 1's... what????

 

heavy lift is fine if you ask me. i tried my car with the toa b's and a 125 shot. just needed to tune it. didn't have time to tune it. but i have seen people run jun 3's and a 125 shot of nos. dry system too. no problems at all

please correct me, but if some is running a 125 shot (dry) they need to be smacked...
but i hope you really meant they had a direct port system and a 125 shot....

 

I always thought nos or any form of FI didn't go well with cams with alot of overlap. Maybe some gsr cams?

 

no im sure its a dry shot. just did some tuning and bumped up the feul pressure a lot

 

i know its stupid but its been done.

 

Zex cams, skunk2, jun3, or crower nitrous cams

 

I ran the spec B's with a 50 shot. The car was very fast. I had no problems.

 

Spec A's are awesome on juice.

 

ITR cams, or give Web Cams a call they are good with nitrous cars.

 

yea, until the VTEC lobe wears down to the same size as the primary lobes.
web sucks. so does their valve train.

 

I was just looking at the Spec A's...
I called Toda to ask them what they thought about using the A's with nitrous and they were not sure of if that would be a good combo with nitrous.

I have narrowed it down to either Toda A's or the Zex cams..
