My Vtec Kicks in at 4200 RPMs. Good or Bad?
I got my car tuned on my birthday, which was tuesday. My vtec kicks in at 4200.
My mods are AEM CA, Spoon T.B., Apexi N1, AEM Fuel Rail, AEM Fuel Reg., Is this good, or bad? What's your Vtec at? Is it low as mine?
I was rated at 179.5 hp and 129.8 TRQ.
They mentioned that I need Sprockets and a header and a 2pc head gasket. What's your opinions.
I'm not bragging, I hate people who do so. All I want to know is if its to dangerous for my motor being at 4200 rpms. So please Dont bragg about how good your itr is. Their always someone better. Well thanks for viewing my post.

between 4000 and 5000 rpms, its at 100-125 hp then it drops to 100hp between 5 and 5600rpms and it goes straight up from that. My mid range power was 110.9 stock trq. and after was 124.4 HP is at 126.9hp stock and now 142.4
These readings are from 4000 rpms to 6000rpms. \
I was worried that I was too low so I made my vtec kick in at 4700 rpms now.
Any techs out their that can give advice.

4700 is a little bit more normal. The VTEC changeover on the stock B16 and B18c is going to be at 4700, the stock on the Type R is at 5700. I know that with most of the chipped ECU's out there the VTEC is moved down to about 4700. The only way that you can really know what it should be at is to throw it on a dyno and get it tuned. Depending on your AFR you can move the point around to suit your driving style and fuel map. If you haven't really changed your fuel settings or anything like that I personally would go with a 5200 or 5700 changeover.

Can you scan in or otherwise post your dyno plot? Ideally, there should be no dip, or any other obvious change, when VTEC engages. That's the point of moving the VTEC point around - smooooooooth powerband
This was my second tunning. My first vafc settings was a smooth powerband, with no vtec dip. Now after professional tunning, my fuel reg was adjusted with an aem fuel reg. Its at 52 psi. I changed the vtec settings to 4700 for normal driving, but when I need the power, I'll go back to the tuned settings at 4200 rpms, At least until I get a header, sprockets, and a 2pc head gasket.
Dont all of you think that its a bit too low?
Well I did take to a good tuner, but I do trust them, I just thought it was way too low but great for quick power pick up. Sorry no scanner, how else can i post my dyno chart, I have two now. Next month I'll go back with the new parts and tuned again. Whish me luck.
