Well we took the tranny out changed the throw out bearing and put everything back in and now when I go to start it all it does is crank.. First it throws 41 Then I have to crank again about 4 sec and then it will throw 16 along with 41 and the car wont start? anyone know anything? at all Help.. Plan on selling the car tommorow but we agreed to change the throw out bearing then he would buy it.

Well your code 41, is for the Oxygen Sensor heater, which isn't a big deal.

Code 16 is for the fuel injectors... which you shouldn't have had to do anything with at all.

Check the ground at the back of the motor, transmission side, on top of the thermostat housing. Make sure its tight and has a good ground.

Do you have a test light? Did you see if it was loose at all? Does it look corroded? I don't understand how removing a transmission caused any of this...

From what you describe it seems like a bad ground someplace... did you re-attach the transmission ground strap?

Well went back out there for the last time tonight well..this morning anyway and did what JDM_Ej told me to do in a IM witch was to id take it off, use a wire brush or high grit sandpaper on the metal and then put it back on, making sure its tight and still same things as I said in the above post's I went ahead and changed the starter to just to look around at those wires and still the same thing.

 

You could try and reset your ECU... or use a spare ECU if you have it.

 

reset the ecu a bunch might try A diff ecu

that's the starter signal wire from ignition....sounds like you got something messed up. Make sure your o2 sensor is plugged in and make sure the trans ground strap is bolted up....should be a 10mm bult near the upper mount...NOT whats in the pic- that's the signal wire!

 

Would the Black/yellow wires have to do with anything on the drivers side that has a closed cap on it.. that cape came off due to a dumb friend and it had medal prongs in it 8 of them.. Going to go take a pic right now.

 

oh no! What you are referring to is the power distribution block for the fuel injectors!!! And they shuld be yellow with black tracer....you need that block or your car will not run. Why did you remove this?

 

my dumb friend took that off and threw it.. Good thing I just found.. Well after almost checking the WHOLE harness I now know what the prob is.. Thanks SO much man.. here is the pic..
