Default 97 civic POURS THICK WHITE SMOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well i got this car and it has a d16y8 in it and the head was supposedly rebuilt but when i started it up it was smoking a little bit and then i told my friend to rev up the motor a little and then i saw water coming out the exhaust and it poured smoke. i immediatley assumed piston rings. but then i told a couple people what it was doing and everbody said head gasket. so i replaced the head gasket and ran it with no antifreeze and it didnt smoke at all. then i filled it up and it started pooring white smoke AGAIN, i dont know what it is, there is no antifreeze in the oil. PLEASE HELP ME.

also it ran like **** before i replaced the head gasket, but now it runs normal just smokes like crazy

Your head is probably warped, get it milled. Just know that after you mill it the compression will have changed.

white smoke is usually coolant burning.

had the same problem on 3 different motors. if the head isnt warped and the headgasket is fine and sealing, then its the valve seals
