Default EG or EH

a civic buff that i work with says USDM 92-95 civics are EH's. well today at work i looked at a 93 bubble and it was an EH2 (by looking at the VIN) then i walked over to the 92 LX SDN we have and its a EG8. if EG's are suppose to be JDM then why was this car an EG. can someone explain this to me. sorry for the lack of knowledge im an accord/cl guy.

If it came with the B16 motor, it's called EG6 in this case the US 92-95 never came with a B16.

but yes US chassis code are listed as EH while in Japan it's all EG

Its not all USDM 92-95 Civics are EHs. Only the USDM 92-95 Hatchbacks were EH2 and/or 3

the coupes were EJ1/2 and sedans are EG8s No you did not see an imported Civic sedan lol

Here this is your answer

Where is the thread with the CDM Civic chasis codes. I have a 94 canadian civic coupe Si which starts with a EJ1 but according to the thread it should be an EX.
