My Baby is hurt!!
While driving to class I hit a ice patch and slid into the curb.
I heard a thunderous BANG!!!
I almost had a heart attack, cuz it was soooo loud. The left side front rim hit the curb. It was dark, but it looks like the stock rim is pretty bent up. While driving home there was TREMENDOUS steering wheel shaking. I could not go over 90 km/h. I am hoping it is only the rim that has to be replaced. Please tell me my baby just needs a rim change. I'll go to the shop tommorrow, what else should I look for?

I don't think I would trust that wheel bearing for much longer if it took a big whack. Also the tie rod could be bent. I doubt you bent anything else. The rest of it takes a REALLY big whack to bend up, though it most certainly can be done, as I have proven...

Yea i whaled a curb on my old gsr, bent both the front and the back rim (i rode up on it in the rain
). Also bent the lca (lower control arm). Replace that and the rims and it still would not align. The tech had to put a bunch of shims in it to get it right. He thought I might have bent the uper A arm also, but we got it worked out with shims.

I would check the wheel, alignment, and all the suspension. You could have messed up the lower control arm, bearing, upper strut mount...plenty of other stuff. I would change out the rim and get it aligned...and have them go over everything on your suspension on that side and make sure that everything is up to spec.
Dunno about where you live, but in FL, if you hit a pot hole, you can have the state cover the repairs on your car. You might want to look into that, but I don't know if states cover icey roads. Also you might want to look into claiming it on insurance. Your deductable might be less then the total cost to fix it. My GSR rims were 450 a piece from the dealer (I had to get them, was leaving on road trip the following day), lca was about 150, then an hour on the alignment rack and what not.
