there is a screw behind your hazard light switch and your rear windowdefroster. And i think there might be some behind the panel for your power outlet. Then it just is held on by clips

pop the hazard and defroster buttons out (not the buttons but the plastic around them), there are screws behind them. You might need to drop the plastic piece where the cigarete lighter is (I'm not totaly sure), there might be some screws over there.

take a screwdriver, put it in the groove, put something soft around the screwdriver, and pry the plastic out.

yes you have to drop the panel with cig lighter. after dropping that, look up and you'll see the screws for the climate control bezel

After that, Look up and you'll notice four nuts. Take those off, and the whole consol should pull right out. I've done it many times, my car had the same problem after it was stolen. Don't pry anything, you'll only mess it up worse. Aslo, you shouldn't need to remove the lower compartment.

Then take it out. You could have already had the procedure finished by now. It's all easy to put back together.
