The car was put in neutral when started ( I MADE SURE ) when i came out to look under the hood i notice the 2 front wheels were spining like as if it was in 1st gear i was like WTF.... it did this for about 5 mins... i tryed stoping them but they kept going .... i need help cuz i douno what is wrong ... last time i started the car on the jack stands it never did this ? is this normal ??? or am i going crazy ??? it was also making a werid sound kinda like a werid tick but also went away ...
help me
help me
yea sounds normal. same thing happened when i took off my brothers 2 front wheels on his rsx, i jus figured it was the vibration from the motor being on
i also noticed one more thing when i put the car in 3rd gear it seemed to sound different then the rest of the gears .. is that normal to ?
i was thinking vibrations might be the cause also. iv never seen this happen before and you said it was spinning pretty fast at first, so that got me wondering.
hope there is nothing wrong.

Shooting from the hip here. But when a car is put in neutral with a manual transmission, the clutch is engaged to the engine. Causing, and forgive me for not knowing what it's called in the transmission, the center drive gear to spin but not engage the rest of the gears.
Because the whole transmission is mostly in oil the spinning causes the oil to start turning and moving which starts the rest of the gears moving, which slowly starts the wheels moving.
I'm guessing it's sort of like a viscous limited slip differental..
