thank god this doesnt happen often but its still a problem and has to get fixed. my car would start up perfectly, run for about a minute then shut off completly like if there was no power. radio still works but the gauge cluster lights would shut off until i turn the key off then back to on. anybody had this problem before? thanks in advance

 

If your guage lights shut off as well as you blower fan but your radio stays on it sounds like a faulty ignition switch.

what car
what engine?

if it's a 96-00 civic, i believe there is a recall for that. if it has been done there should be an indention above the 8th number of the vin on the firewall. if not you need to take your car to the nearest honda dealership and have this recall performed.

 

my car is a 95 civic ex with jdm d15b, is there a recall for that yr civic? if not is there anything i can check for?

 

There is no recall on the 95's for a ignition switch but it does sound like your problem.
