ok this 91 accord i'm working on has a fan prob...i changed both temp sensor's the relay, and fuse's the fan work's being tested with power direct...but still doesn't come on when the car heat's and start's to overheat..when i turn the car off the damn fan comes on wtf?....any idea's thnxs
One of the fan switches is responsible for running the fan when the engine's on, probably it's in the thermostat housing? Does the fan run when you jumper the wires for that switch?
You say you changed the fan relay, but did you check the fan timer module? That's not the same thing as the fan relay.
oh yeah... I didn't think the main relay is associated with this circuit at all... Got a wiring drawing?

I have the SAME problem.. except mine doesnt over heat. but when i turn the key off the other fan comes on.
mine is a 90 accord with a boosted h22. no clue what the problem is but so far i havent had it over heat.. i just noticed its weird that it only comes on when the key is off

The fan switch at the upper radiator hose nozzle is responsible for switching the fan when the engine's turned off. The one that's responsible for switching the fan when the engine's running, is in the thermostat housing. Or maybe for certain years/models that switch is on the back of the block somewhere.

My accords don't have that 2-sensor & timer system, so I don't know where the timer is hidden.
Actually, I think there's been some threads in the Accord forum; search for fan timer module. Seems to me someone posted a wiring drawing scanned from the Helm book?
