Default poor mans security options

if you have to absolutley drive your R and you don't have a security system, what other options can you do to your car so that it dosen't get stolen. i'm talking about a poor man security measure. Thanks in advance

Do you believe in the power of prayer?

Personally, I don't, so I don't take the car anywhere I would worry about it.

take the two front wheels with you every where you go

If I have to go somewhere I'm not comfortable leaving the R I usually disconnect an array of plugs throughout the car

Wire a kill switch between the fuel pump line and pray they don't find the switch or tow it.

Your car has been safe, congrats. I myself refuse to live that way. The only reason I dont drive my car is to keep so unecessary miles off. 00 w/106k As shitty as it sounds it is only a car, yes it would be horrible to lose but it would also be horrible to put only 18k on a car in four years.

Yeah I hear that. Part of that was down time, my car was getting built up. The other was I don't usually drive it in the winter time only spring through fall. I just started driving in the winter time now. 18k killls me though I want to drive it like a mad man and have it reach old age all beaten and bruised up. Not like it's barley been touched.

I did too. I put 30k miles on my ITR in 2.5 years. I drove it everyday and would park it in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx. The constant worrying just sucked that's why I bought a beater before I bought my ITR to drive me to work and school. Those were the only times I could not protect it as much as I would like to.

If it's not an option for you to get a beater then PM me for security details.

In 5-6 years here, I've never heard of anything working as far as keeping an R from being stolen.
I've heard TONS of stories about 'I had this and that and they still got it'.

Make sure your insurance co doesnt suck, make sure you pay them on time, and just enjoy your car. Thats my advise..
