I recently perchased a 94 civic hatch w/jdm itr w/usdm tranny and I am Looking for all the help i can get on the maintenace side! I do not know how much oil and what type of oil (name brand weight ect) to use! I want to know the best maintance for my engine and my tranny! Tell me what i can and cannot add to the engine and tranny as additives for instance i always used slick 50 oil treatment but i have never had jdm spec engine b4. I would LIKE TO KNOW EVERYTHING!

When Should i change fluids, how often?

I prefer Mobil1 10w30. Some people prefer other brands/weights. I'm not sure if the previous owner has run synthetic, if not, it might not be a good idea. Should be 4 qts.

As for the tranny, the same oil will work for that, or you can use GM Synchromesh, or Honda's tranny fluid. Your tranny holds about 2.4 qts I believe.
