Im looking for anybody in the Northern California area that can help me smog my turbocharged EM1 ( 00 Si). I am willing to do almost anything within reason to get it to pass. Passing the sniffer isnt the biggest problem, the Visual inspection is where im most worried.
ANY advice is welcome. Thanks.

yea. thats pretty much what ive figured.
money is no object for me.
Taking off my whole Turbo kit is an option but im worried bout:
1. unplugging my hondata
2. the fact that my ecu is OBD2 to OBD1 (for the Hondata)
3. the bigger 450cc injectors
4. the inline fuel pump
5. the Greddy boost gauge sitting flushed on my dash.
ya know, just those "little" things

I do something like that here in MD.. Except I just let the operator play with my boosted car on the rollers and sometimes ill get the "Damn, this thing is bad ***, and...you passed), others will give me the (I like this, and for $50 it will magically pass)..
I have also "heard" of "people" putting their tags on another stock car and going up there and since they dont check the vin number, it passes and your good for another 2 years.. Again you gotta pay to play, if you get caught thats on you but I just threw that out there as possible plan..
Is it true that a cop can look under your hood to make sure all of your stuff is stock/legal out there in cali?

Out here we just say "Kiss my ***" and that about ends it.. Usally if a cop wants to see under your hood he just wants to see how nice your setup it..
