Default Watched TV today. German racing professionals tested CTR on track

hmm,
This is the first time I noticed there is no CTR forum...

I watched "Autovision" today, a german sports-car magazine.

They tested the CTR and beat the **** out of it at the green hell (Nürburgring Nordschleife). They performed an absolutely great time of 8:47 on stock rims and suspension.

I think the CTR is something to count on in the future..

Just wanted to share this with you.

So, was 8:47 good? What were they saying about it? Good points and bad points.

Thanks

It is a good time, but you've got to consider driver in the equation. Some of the times are recorded by magazine journalists, and some are by professional race car drivers... With the same driver, I don't see any chance of the CTR beating a Viper, Corvette, F355, etc...

Where's that BMW X5's time? I thought it had a crazy fast time...at least the one with the F1 engine in it (or whatever they threw in there)

What is the time of the Porsche 996 GT2?
7 min 46 seconds, according to Sport Auto, a German car magazine.

You also have to remember that there is a newer section of the Nurburgring that may or may not have been open at the time. It's about a 1.2 mile section, I think. They use it for Grand Prix and Le Mans racing. So, that might have some effect on the times. I also might be smoking crack. Either way, it's fast.

actually, what most people don't realize is that there are TWO Nürburgring tracks. One is the shorter track used for the F1 and DTM races. The other track is the one everyone talks about, the Nordschleife. This is the really long one and was used for F1 many many years ago until F1 moved to the new track.

Picked up a new drivers sidemarker for the S2000 today and they has a white 02 Civic Si... Im not a big fan from the pictures, but the car looks in person. Interior is much better than expected. As usual its about 1.5" too tall.

Have a look in person, if anything to justify your opinion.
