Default What does a missfire feel like?

Is it somewhat subtle? When the engine is idling it runs smooth then i get a slightly harder vibration...smooth, then slightly harder vibration...etc. Is this a missfire?

a miss fire is when the car is missing a spark(s). check your sperk plugs and wires
a missfire will make the car hesitate and not idle corectly at a stop. good luck man!

that kind of sounds like a vacuum leak to me. So when you watch the tach does it dip down then catch its self?

the rpms fluctuate with up to 200 rpms difference (ex. from 1k dropping to 800 then going back to 1k. could that also be from pressure leaking due to a bad gasket?

ya could be a head gasket do a leak down test if you can get a hold of one or even compression check most likely a small vacuum leak put a vacuum gauge on it and post your results
