Default Pressing old pistons out and on to other rods

I took some pr3 (b16) and pr4(ls) pistons on rods to get swaped over at a machine shop. They said they couldnt do it cuz pressing the pins out would wreck the pistons.

Even if he made a jig he said it would still wreck the piston.

Any though on this?

Trying to ls/vtec

You can't reuse pistons once they are pressed off. The machine presses on the piston to remove the wrist pin, thereby making it useless. Hav eto use new pistons and pins

There are tools available that place the force onto just the wrist pin, but even then there's still a chance of warping and breaking the piston.
