b20 w/ b16 head
theres a guy who owns a shop in the OC, cali that has the setup mentioned on the topic. what are the cons and pros. i know its possible cus i seen it but it takes up too many mods. oil lines, reinforced bottom, etc.
not a difficult one to build. I didn't build my own (bought car already swapped) but it just requires some offset head dowels and the vtec oil line from what I understand. Dyno numbers are alright, doesn't have a balanced bottom end like the b18c and b16a motors do so I don't rev it too high. also the b20 bottom end has thin cylinderwalls from what I understand, so the block isn't that strong for building up.
But IMHO stock bottom end with b16a head and i/h/e is plenty fast for a DD. Mine pulled 178whp and 145ft/lbs and has no problem going fast when I kick the spurs...
