I hope I'm not beating too many dead horses here but I have a few questions before I buy a used S2K. I've been swaying between several cars and the other night I think I decided on an S2K after driving one for a complete afternoon. This car will be a strictly weekend/nice day car. I have a stock Civic for daily driving/commuting. I've owned MANY cars over the years, the most recent nice car I had was a 423whp ITR turbo So my random questions about a possible S:

-I'm 6'3", 210lbs. Any issues with 1-2 hour car rides? I cruised it around town, ran some errands and was suprisingly comfortable, but no LONG trips that day.

-which would you take: Yellow '01 w/ 9500 miles for $18,999 extra CLEAN or a Blue '03 w/22600 miles also extra clean for $22988(this is the one I drove)?

-Any major precautions or reasons to stay away from the '00-01's other then the plastic rear window?

Thanks for any 1st hand info, I really appreciate it. At this moment I'm leaning towards the '03 but saving approx. $4000 doesn't sound too bad.

Does the blue one have blue leather? If not, I'd go for the blue. I love yellow, as you can tell from my signature and avatar, but it's also the first color the human eye goes to out of all colors which would and have gotten me a few tickets. Although the price isn't bad on either. The glass rear window is also much better unless the plastic is in "new" condition, like mine. I'd be concerned about such low mileage on the '01. Why so low? Done a title search and carfax? If not let me know and I can search title for you.

Thanks for the info. They are both local to me at different dealerships, so I have no idea how/why the '01 has such ridiculous low miles. The '03 does have the blue interior, but to me it's such an odd color I kind of like it

honestly, i would pick the 1 w/ cleanest.

 

im pretty sure only the suzuka has blue leather interior. the regular blue has black i think......could be wrong.

no, this is not true. i know 4 itr owners who cannot fit in my car. I am sure if i thought about it, i could think of more.

As for colors, Suzuka blue only comes with blue interior. Mine is an exception, I have black interior.

The new darker blue S only comes with a black interior, this is only new for 2006.

In Japan, you could get any color interior with exterior. They were sorta built to order in a way. In Canada, the GPW's of 02-03 came with a blue interior as well instead of the beige/tan we get in the US.
