Almost There
Hey guys, I just did an engine swap in my 97. I swapped it with the same shitty engine (d16y7) just to get the feel and expireince before a "real" swap, and not to mention I got the engine for 100$ off my buddy that just did a swap. So, with everything hooked up (so I thought) it was time to turn the key, I got nothing. I took a closer look and found I didn't connect the transaxle ground. So I tried it again and got a spark where that ground was. I did get a click from the starter this time but nothing else. I took yet a closer look and found another ground to the transaxle/starter that I over looked. The only thing it does when I turn the key now is click from the relay under the dash. Nothing from the starter.. what are my possibilities here besides a possible shot starter?

if it sat that long, it might be shot. see if you can borrow one from a friend to test with.
