They do indeed light up the ground when you turn on the blinker. Now if you have a USDM Honda Civic 99-00 Front, and you still have the stock amber piece in it, our blinkers are unusually bright, so that side light thing isnt really necessary. It doenst do a WHOLE lot, and its one more light, one more piece and part to worry about. But like if it came with the car, I wouldnt mess with it. Well I personally would shave it off cause its overdone.
