where do you add transmission oil
I was given a 1990 Honda Accord EX. To make a long story short, I was told to check the transmission fuild to see it that is the reason the car won't shift (or otherwise move forward when gas is applied). Unfortunately, we weren't given the owner's manual and my husband can't find where it goes. Can anyone tell me?
There should be a smaller dipstick you can pour down into if youve got an auto tranny, if you've got a manual, pop the top plug out of the side, and stick your finger in it.
It's an automatic, but we can't find the dipstick for the transmission oil. Someone said it should be on the left side behind the battery, but it doesn't seem to be there.

Lower left side of engine on the front of the trans axle is the dipstick and fill tube

be sure to also invest in a service manual for that accord! i don't know how many times i've used my service manual on the 1991 accord. it's been running flawless, but whenever something's happened to the engine, the service manual basically spells it out for you and tells you how to do the procedures step-by-step
