Default H23 manuel tensioner whine

Before my autotensioner took a crap on me, it made this horrible whinning noise. Since then I replaced my water pump, OEM timing belt, and did the h23 manuel tensioner coversion. But there is till a slight whinning noise whenever I accelaerate. The tensioner itself has about 5k on it since the swap was done. Should I be concerned? Or am I just too paranoid????

you need to follow the helms manual and tension the belt the correct way. if everything else is new and the belt is not to tight then it may not be the timing belt

Make sure the belt is not rubbing anywhere too, like the cover ect...

my engine makes a slight whining from the manual tensioner conversion..i think some whine is to be expected but nothing too noticeable...

just wondering anyone out there whos done the conversion...did when you took up the slack in the belt did the balance belt seem to not tighten itself on its own??

also i noticed the slack wasnt taken up as smoothly as doing a belt on something that was orignially designed for it like a b-series. I've seen it tension up alot more "lively" (for a loss of words) on the b than my h22 with the conversion

my engine has been running fine so far..but i'm allways too o.c.d. with important stuff

thanks guys-chris

I did the h23 manual tensioner conversion also(new everything, tensioner pulleys, hardware) I can hear a slight whine also, so i re-tensioned it( turn engine 3 teeth counterclockwise, ect following my manual) and i can still hear it but not as much. I have my middle cover off( i check my t--belt constantly) No rubbing or nothing. I'm thinking my alt bearings are going out( using jdm h22 one, need to swap it for my f22 and swap pulleys and see if its the cause) My accesory belts are at the proper tension too. I hate odd noises!!!! Makes me paranoid
