91 hatch si, with b16, way too high idle problems, PLEASE HELP its killing my gas!!!!
my car is idling at like 3500-4000 rpms when its just started and its cold out, if it warms up a bit it will idle around 2200 rpms, the idle screw is all the way turned in so thats down correct? , me and my buddy though it might be my map sensor so i got another one, and put that on still doing the same thing, i truly don't know what it is
also if we unplug the hose thats connected to the throttle body that goes from the map sensor it dies down, then if u even just barely plug it back in it picks back up to high rpms,,, does anyone have any ideas i can try cuz im out of them
thanks

If the TB gasket has a leak in it, it will cause that. I would say set the Idle screw back to stock and look for a leak somewhere. I think that if it was a sensor or something like that it would through a code, Im not a good mechanic though.
Check for vaccum leaks. When I started my SOHC ZC with the hose off the fuel pressure regulator it idled at 3000rpm cold and 2500rpm warm...it's an easy fix and took me 5 minutes to figure it out haha. Ooops.
it's happened to my car before but now it's all good. To me, i tried the throttle body but it's not work. Therefore, I reset the RPM manually which I turn the key on not starting and set the rpm to 00. That's how I did mine and now it's fine past 6months now...
