are they better than the stock ones? does anyone have these?

 

9005 is the high beam bulb and 9006 is the low beam bulb(might be the other way around) those are not performance bulbs, just the type of bulb thats in there. if you have a teg you have 9005's in there.

 

Yeah, for the 3G 9006 is for the low beam and 9005 is for the high beam. However, people have been slightly modding 9005s to work in place of the 9006. They say they provide better output. Search around here; I recalling seeing various posts and pictures about how to mod the bulb. I've never done this myself, though. I'm just using 9006 XtraVisions.

 

It's easy. Just grind off the two tabs inside the plug where it connects to the socket. Then just grind the middle tab (used to lock the headlight in its socket) in half using a dremel.

Basically just make it fit, and it works fine.

It's also recommended you use the O-Ring on the 9006 bulb on the 9005, but not a big deal.

 

i have some 9005 bulbs for my low beams.. its nowhere near HID's but it is definitely brighter than the 9006 bulbs
