I have built a 400whp 93 prelude si with 2.3. I was also thinking about converting to vtec until I found out how much of a pain in the *** it would be. You can make up for the loss in power of not having vtec by adding boost. I probably wouldn't buy a turbo kit though. If you want to make big power buy a 60-1 turbo and manifold. also buy complete fuel system including half in fuel rail and 850cc injectors fuel pump and Hondata engine management. You will need to buy a 3 bar map sensor also. but you can make big power and put the car on a diet to make a really fast street car. (Z06 killer) for sure. So you dont have to convert to vtec to make big power. I also drive my car every day.
