they both were K-series engine, is it possible to be done?
i realize the problem would be the wiring harness, but the engine mounting should be 'bolt on' right?

I don't think that it is a bolt in affair. No one has done it yet. I would think that ps steering and ac would be a huge bitch. Just look at the differences between the 2002 civic and the RSX. The 2002 is the same layout as the 92-00 civic's. That's not to say with alot of cutting and welding and Most importantly A SHITLOAD OF MONEY

Did you happen to notice I said 02 Si?

It has the base RSX 160hp K20 motor in it.

02 Type-R motor is a direct replacement........

So is the 02 CRV K24 motor.........

01-02 Civic coupe will not work.......

Are you blind. He was talking about the 2002 coupe. Not the SI, I know that is a direct replacement

it's all good

By the way, nice clean design on your website.

It is not a direct bolt in. There are some differences in the way the mounts bolt to the framerails.

Last week we bought a 2001 RSX Type S complete engine changeover, a 2002 Civic Si and a 2001 Civic Sedan. The Type S motor is going to go in the Si and the Si motor will go into the '01 Sedan. A mount kit should be ready by July.

Currently, No you can't put the RSX motors in a 01-02 coupe since it's a completely different motot and the mounting locations are different.

If anyone can do it Brian G from http://www.hasprot.com can!!

Can't wait to see the "bolt-in" kit.

...and the 02 CRV 2.4L block in the Si

It will work. However, you would have to change the 01+ Civic Coupe subframe to the 01+ RSX/CRV/Civic SI subframe along with the swap.
