Default Rim size for no or minimal drop

Hey guys,

I have a stock looking 94 LS. Thinking about getting rims, but if I am not going to drop the car, or even if I do I am going to be dropping it at 1.5" at most. What rim and tire size would suit my appearance? 15s or 16s? And I know that 16s will need 205/45/16 but what about 15s?

Thanks.

Get 195/55-15, which will give you zero drop. You can also use 205/50-15 although it will give you a very slight drop, about 0.2 inch. (The 205/45-16 will give you about 0.1 inch drop.)

15s really are the way to go.

195/55/15 is the best fit
205/50/15 is a slightly smaller diameter: will drop the car a tiny bit, increase your gearing , and give you a wider contact patch
195/50/15 looks (my opinion) better than 195/55/15, will increase your gearing a little, and drop the car a bit

yup, 23.5" overall diametre with 195/55/15 and 23.1" overall with 205/50/15. so it will lower the car .2"

You can't lower or raise a car by tire size if your keeping it close to stock like your supposed to. People do grab huge tires to reduce wheel gap but its half-assed. Just grab a good set of tires that you want in 205/50/15, 195/55/15 or 195/50/15 (this would lower alittle more then 205/50/15) and your set. If you want to drop the car, even 0.75" there are other ways to do it like ITR springs

195/55/15 or 205/50/15 will work great too is the right size for 15"
205/45/16 is the right size for 16
205/40/17 is the right size for 17

all those listed above are 23.5 (195/55), 23.3 (205/45/16) or 23.1" (205/50/15) overall diametre
