Default Idle vibration that stops when the heater is turned on

hello everyone, i have a 93 prelude and im having some wierd vibration problems. the car is automatic and when it just sits in park and idles it vibrates real bad, the wierd part is when i turn on my heater the vibration stops. when i press the gas and the tach goes above about 1200rpms the vibration stops as well... if it were the motor mounts the vibration wouldn't stop when the heater was turned on right? the car has no mods and about 120,000 plus miles. i tried searching but no luck in finding this problem. could it be my timing? thanks ahead of time for your input

Mine used to do the same thing - this might not be your problem, but after I changed the clutch - it stopped vibrating.

sounds like a motor mount. where is it idling w/o the heater on? if its around 700-800 then idle is normal. and it could result in a worn motor mount. my car would idle coo but when i put it into reverse it shook sick. and with the A/C on it was even worst. i fix the motor mount and never shook again. hope this helps in anyway!

I posted the same thread last week. I think it has something to do with the electrical system. I have a manual so it has nothing to do with your automatic. And the engine mounts would not be causing this. It's some sort of load sensor thing in the fuse panel. Mine only does it once in a while and I dont believe it hurts anything so it depends on if it annoys you or not I guess.
