To dc2gsr96,

We need to know if your engine is bone stock, what turbo you plan on running, EMS, ect... More Info would help you a ton.

How about the real answer? No one, I don't care how knowledgeable you are, can answer what a safe boost level on your car is. Especially with the lack of information that was given to us. We don't know what kind of shape your engine is in internally. A compression or leakdown test won't tell us if you have a bearing on it's way out or rod bolts that are stretched like crazy. This motor has over 100,000 miles on it. It could see the slightest bit of detonation and drop a ring land. Ther are many variables to consider when just throwing a turbo on a high mileage motor.
And t3/t4 doesn't say a whole bunch either. Is it s .50 trim? How about a 60-1? But let's assume your motor is in perfect shape. And this is something like a drag turbo kit. I would recommend sticking with the way they set them up which is about 6-8psi usually.
I vote, just put the damned turbo on, tune it and find out if it lasts

Your 19 years old right? Do you have a steady job that makes good money? Is this car going to be your daily driver? Do you plan on drag racing it, auto x'ing, road courses....HPDE's?

I don't think you financially know what your getting into. From your posts it really doesn't sound like you know what your doing. I'm not trying to discourage you, I'm simply telling you.

Do make a properly turbo charged car it takes a lot more money than you think, and the maintenance can be very very high if something goes. Are you prepared for that?

In all honesty maybe it would be best if you start researching what it is you intend to do and look at your finances before you do something rash. Good luck!

Your engine doesn't care how much boost you run. How much power it generates is the deciding factor. People are doing 3-350whp on stock GSR block/heads with the enough fuel and A GOOD TUNE. I ran around on 320whp in my stock LS for years.

I've been pampered by Team-integra. Every time i had a question that had been previously answered, i was told to search. So i searched, and it was much more beneficial then just taking opinionated answers from lots of people.
When i say search, i mean for him to get the best possible answer, on his own accord. We're not supposed to be here to spoon feed people.

Man is that true, iam in the military which is as steady a job as you can get. I started boosting with little knowledge on anything and it turned into a mess. Even a very well put together and tuned set-up will consistenly cost you money and something is always gonna go wrong. well maybe not always but with my luck it will.

But as far as how much you can boost. Stay with a nice 6psi and dont buy a damn boost controller. I dont care how much discipline you think you have, you will turn it up "just to see how 9psi feels", then 12, then 15 lol. But keep it at a nice low 6 and spend cash on tuning, tuning and more tuning. as long as it is propery tuned you can run more than 6. but to be safe you can save for some forged internals.

Good, because we aren't going to.

You have your members that will tell you to search, and searching in this case would be the best possible answer, but a better idea would be taking this whole post to the Forced Induction area and give them actual info on your engine, then they will most likely help you out.
