i have a 90 civic hatch w/ a ww rs kit and to get the exhaust to fit under the bumper w/o resting on it we had to make a new mount that lowered it down,
i have the bosal exhaust and it scrapes on speed bumps and bumps in the road now, im also lowered 2.25 inches

anyone know of any exhausts that fit under the bumper, or a way i can modify mine so the muffler isnt resting so low?

 

I have a WW kit and a Thermal R&D exhaust on my 91 HB. I had to bend the hanger on the driver's side of the car so the exhaust tip would hang below the bumper. The only other option I saw was to trim the bumper and grill to fit the exhaust, which I plan to do sooner or later.

 

yeah, you'll either have to trim the kit/grill...or lose the melon shooter tip

 

thats what i was thinkin, just cut off the tip and weld on another pip that curves down so i dont make the mesh black i just dont want it lookin ghetto

as it is right now the muffler sits about 1 1/2 to 2 inches off the ground

ill prolly get pics friday if its not raining

 

i had teh same problemon my rexi just trimmed teh bumper and the mesh

 

after i drop my b18 in i'm gonna run it out the side of the wwrs side skirt. should look pretty sweet.

 

Just cut the kit. Fits nicer and looks a lot better.

 

can anyone show me some pics of the bumper when it is cut?

a down side to that is that one of the brackets that holds the bumper is right where the exhaust would come out

 

cut off the damn elephant gun tip. Thats what I should do. I would love to have a dual exhaust tip like stock. Hmmm.. thanks for the ideas guys.

 

Ive got the same exact setup as you, unfortunetly you cant cut the bumper cause of the bracket so your gonna have to have someone cut the tip off weld a bent pipe back on then the tip. As of now my exhaust is crooked but I'm in the process of searching for an exhaust that will actually fit with no mods. I know this doesnt help but ohh well!
