Is there a Speed governor on any RSX type S
My buddy just bought one and was asking about it. Does he have to chip it to get around one? He will be trackin his car.
Thanks

My Civic did. Kicked in at 120 or so.

To my knowledge, I've never known anyone with an integra/rsx with a governor. However with civics, I think it depends on what model/tranny you got or maybe some people are just lucky. my 01 civic lx sedan (auto) governed at 118 but my friends' 01 civic ex coupe (5spd) did everything on the speedometer.

I second that,
From first hand experience. Hes on the money.

As i recall, automatic tranny's have speed governers while manual cars tend to be drag limited or limited by redline. ive taken my car to 110 and i was at 5500rpm, so i dont think i could do more than 120 because of fuel cutoff.
don't know about the RSX
BUT i have done 120 in my dads 95 DX auto civic- stock that took a while hahahah
and i have done 120 in my 01 EX coupe 5 speed- took some time too
i doubt theres a limiter

uhm certain years and models have a speed governor on them like for instance my 2003 Acura RSX-S has one and i'm looking to remove it. Usually it will kick in around 100 mph
I had a technician at honda tell me that its at 149, but i personally have takin my type s to 155. Took a long time to reach that speed. So, there is probably not a governor on the type s. (have owned my type s for almost 7yrs)
K-Pro eliminates any restrictions from manufactures for speed limits if there is one...
Seems like most sports models in the Honda line up are all drag limited only!
If u add intake, headers, bigger piping and exhaust it allows to go faster because there is more air flow but the ecu has no actual limiter or at least I haven't encountered any with any cars before and I've owned 97 accord, 95, 97 integra and 04 tsx
