Rear A-arm falls off in Detriot traffic? Help!?
Ok i dont know if this has happened to anyone else, but the rear a-arm ( i call it this even though it isnt shaped like an "A"), broke from its mount on the bottum of the strut assembly and the rear driver side of my car dropped so the tire was riding on the inner fender.
Now this might sound like fun to some, but it scared the sh#t out of me in heavy traffic comeing home from detriot last night.
I have shunk 2 coil overs on what i believe are the stock struts ( or stock replacment struts), this is something the previous owner did. Do you think that the coil-overs stressed the susspension making that braket weaker until it broke? I need to know 1. if anyone else has had this happen, and 2 what the hell did they do to fix it.
Thanks in advance
Jason

Haven't heard of this happening before...
...Congrats, you are a trend setter.
Anyways, if it can be welded, have it welded, if not, get some new rear lower control arms. If money is tight, try finding them in a wrecking yard. If not, get some function7 rear lower control arms. Good luck.
