ok, my car just started doing this strange hesitation after i put in a type r tranny, clutch, flywheel, and swaped to a comptech icebox and intake arm..
here is what happens, if im just accelerating slowly (in any gear) (0 throttle to 1/4 throttle) some times the motor will hesitate and stay at that rpm and kinda buck the car a little, and it does that untill i go to about 1/2 throttle or more, then it kicks out of it and goes like normal. this is normally occuring between 2-3.5K RPM, and only happens occaionally, other times it drives just like normal. my CEL has never come on because of this.
basicly what im thinking is that while doing the tranny swap we maybe bumped something that could be causing this problem. well any input and advise would be appreciated, thanks guys. let me know if there is anymore info i can give to help out...

Last time that happened to me it was from poor spark condition. The spark plug tube seals were letting too much oil into the top plug tubes. It was grounding out the charge thru the oil causing studdering and poor acceleration thru certain rpm ranges. Check your plugs, wires, cap, and rotor for starters.
-im having tha same problem....explain your tranny set up so i can see if i can diagnose it....are u using a performance clutch disc, without a perf. pressure plate???

Action 1KS clutch and pressure plate, which is barly stiffer than stock and engages just like stock, and a ACT Prolite flywheel.
-i had the same problem with my car to....and i got MSD...so i dont think itz has anything to do with tha ignition response...i alwayz had a hunch to do a compression test on my car but never did it...i thought it would of been that im not using a perform. press. plate.....but u said that u are using one....hmmmmm..this one is a brain buster.....im using a b16 00' si computer and harness on my 95 LS motor....what about you.....can that be tha reason......( vtec ecu....non vtec motor? )
