I'm looking @ a helms manual right here and other than the obvious suspension stuff and intake, battery, blah, blah, here are the steps:
-remove the torque converter cover and shift cable cover
-remove the tranny control lever and the shift cable connected to it
-remove the 8 drive plate bolts one at a time while rotating the crank pulley
-raise the tranny slightly with a jack and remove the IM bracket
-remove the tranny housing mounting bolts (2) and rear engine mounting bolts (3)
-then just pull the tranny away from the dowel pins and you're done.
You can pry the tranny with that little flywheel inspection hole with the rubber plug (if that's on an auto???....)
