I know, you're thinking "wth, is he crazy?" or "reusing pistons is like reusing condoms" I won't argue those facts.
What I would like input on is if aftermarket .010 over pistons typically have ring groves that much smaller than .020 pistons.
Here's my predicament/story: not too long ago, a scammer named W O T sold me 75.5mm D16 pistons that had skirts that looked like were put on a grinder (said they were mint). My machinist friend said they could pass as 75.25mm, if the unscathed portions were machined down. I may soon be working for a machining opperation...one of which 2/3 of their work is miliraty hardware (ultra exacting work). So basicly I would be able to work them to size.
My main reason for even thinking about this: as they sit they're junk anyways, so the only thing stopping me is possibly the rings (hard to get in the grooves). I would also prefer a 75.25mm bore vs. a 75.5mm bore since it will see lots of boost, eventually a 300+ whp daily driver.
I posted here since most of the people viewing actually think before flaming - and usually know their ****. Thanks

The only way i could see it working is if you cylinders to match the pistons but it would be cheaper to get new pistons that fit but if you do make or get new cylinders i know they make custom rings
