Default Performance Options for 2.2CL?

Hi,

My friend just got an Acura 2.2CL and was curious what modifications are available to him performance wise?

Thanks.

most perfromace parts are made for 94-97 Accord but most work on a 97 2x CL. right now i have a AEM V2 intake and a DC Sports header and i love them. soon im gonna lower it with D2 coilovers and get a Espelir JGT500 exhaust. there are many options for a 2x but unforunately almost everything must be ordered for an accord.

Okay, thanks. So would 14's in the 1/4 be a feasible idea?

not worth it with the F22B1 engine, it will take to much money, with the H22A1/A4 defenitly feasible.

you could do it, but you'd need more than bolt ons. some headwork and a cam, and maybe a bit of the squeeze.

its not the motor thats the problem, its a capable motor, its only drawback is thats its a SOHC. its the car. its to damn heavy, its heavier than an accord. you need what you said plus a stripped out interior for a N/A CL to run 14's. trust me on that, and its not practical to strip out a CL. unless its mine which doesnt have leather.

very true. i've got my accord down to 2800 +/- and she'll run 14s this time around. but that's with an extra cam.

but don't you think the nitrous would help overcome the weight? that is, if he's willing to use it. it's not the best option.

as far as parts availability, yes, you can use almost all accord 2.2 parts. header, intake, cam, cam gear, fpr, injectors, spark plug wires, etc.
a bit of p'n'p may be in order.

Ok, put it this way... this mod thing is a desease. we all kno this. it never stops. at some point u will get to the point where the f22 can not go anyfurther and opt for the h22. soooo, save urself the lost money that u'll put into the f.
