Default password cf intake

i just received my password cf power chamber intake, nice stuff. only thing is it doesn't have the hose fitting on it to run a hose from the valve cover to the intake. i know running a breather filter on the vc isn't the greatest idea and i don't want to make a hole in the intake. what should i do?

I was looking at these also. It looks to be a nice piece, any idea of gains? I have an AEM CAI right now, I'm not sure if you've driven an R with this but if you have can you provide insight on pros/cons of each?

DO NOT put a breather on the valve cover unless you want your engine full of sludge and run like ****. Get a proper catch can setup.

Whats a proper catch can setup? Ive seen many catch can setups that still have the valve cover breather connected to the intake.

But still since no one has anwsered this guys question i will try. Your gonna need to connect the valve cover to another vac source. I would recommond that you just slash cut the exhaust and hook it up there. You wont have to worry about oil going through the intake this way.

is this the replica m00gen box? does the m00gen have the breather hose port? i ran a breather filter for awhile, never really noticed a difference good or bad :shrugs: you could probably drill a hole and get a fitting on there assuming the C/F is nice and thick.

1. breather filter
2. t-tap pcv to catch can hose.
3. drill intake, insert fitting.
4. keep it stock.

quoted from passwordjdm on team-integra.net

"as for those of you that are asking about the tube, we did not do the metal nipple for the time being but anyone that orders one now we can upon request supply you with the metal nipple and detalied instructions on how to drill the hole out for it. its very simple to do."

That's bullshit. to Password for that, that's very surprising coming from them. They should have held orders until they had restocked the fittings or gotten everything straight.

I would mail it back and ask them to do it, if they crack it or screw up the job it's on them.

like the guy above me said. Ask them for the fitting and just drill a hole and install it.

i just got off the phone with password. the fitting is not INSTOCK. it will be in in about 2 weeks and will send me one then. there is a flaw in the design. the non-abs version is not missing it, but the abs version is.
for a nice intake.
for missing a pretty important piece.
