well after finding a head and ecu, gaskets, timing belt required for the conversion i would say around 4- 600 dollars. depending on the deal you find.

really thats not as bad as I imagined, what exactly might the gains be? I heard it might achieve an added 70 ehp? True?

Depending on which head you select, you would be potentially doubling the number of valves per cylindar. The more valves per cylindar, the better the air flow, heat dispersal, etc... Before you put the new head on, you can port out the intake and exhaust and (depending on price and the number of miles on the new head) have a valve job done.

what would be a good DOHC for an f22b2 block? i have a 94 lx accord and i recently asked about this. like if i was to start shopping for it what would i ask or what would i type? and one that will fit exactly not one that i would have to plug the oil sleeves?

The price depends on what head you use. The simplest is a f22b dohc head. It bolts on with no modification, but they are almost impossible to find. Your other choices are an h23 head, or an h22 head. Try to get the intake manifold, distributor, and exhaust manifold with the head, as this usually saves you money in the long run.The gains also depend on which head you use, but nowhere near 70 hp.

The f22b2 has 16 valves. The others all have 16 valves as well.

So let me get this straight. if i go out and buy out of a junk yard a h22 head i will bolt right up ? i would also need other extras like ecu and wiring right? is the H22 DOHC?

And also the f22b is DOHC so why is it a f22b if i have an f22b2 SOHC? kinda fishy or are they just rare? also if i was to go with either an h22 or an f22b DOHC will i need a new distributor or intake manifold or exhaust headers and stuff like that or will i be able to use parts from my f22b2 head? Also would it be best if i get one of the other to get it P-P? since the head will already be out.

Some one please laydown what i would need to get inorder to convert my f22b2 SOHC into a DOHC using either an h22 head or an f22b head DOHC? which one will give me the most power?

Sorry for so many questions im new into discovering about engines and that you could swap the head with it. instead of buying a complete engine.

And does anyone know approx how much HP it will gain with the swap?

The f22b dohc was a japanese prelude engine. Whichever headswap you do, you'll need the lower timing gear, exhaust mani, distributor, ecu, and preferably an intake manifold.
